About Us

O‘ahu Grazers is a family-run business based on the island of O‘ahu, specializing in sustainable vegetation management through targeted grazing. By strategically rotating sheep and goats across landscapes, we help reduce wildfire risk, restore native ecosystems, and provide an eco-friendly alternative to traditional land clearing.

Raia's story began in childhood on the North Shore of O‘ahu, where Raia’s early love for horses sparked a lifelong connection to animals and a passion for stewardship. Daniel brings deep ranching experience from Wyoming, where he was raised on a working cattle ranch. Over the years, their work has expanded to include sheep and goats, combining their backgrounds into one mission: to care for the land in a way that’s responsible, effective, and aligned with nature.

Raia currently serves as the 2025 Vice President of the Hawai‘i Sheep & Goat Association, continuing to advocate for best practices and community education in regenerative grazing across the islands.

Community Driven

Living on an island, we understand the importance of dual-purpose agriculture and also strive to supply locally raised, quality meat to our community.

“From a flock of 20 in 2014 they currently oversee 700 acres where sheep manage vegetation under solar panels in addition to acting as fire mitigation on overgrown grasslands."
