Why Sheep?
Sheep are most often used for this work as they are best suited for solar installations due to their size and grazing behavior. Sheep enjoy eating many weeds and invasive species on top of various grasses.

We offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative for vegetation management that is not chemical or mechanical. We are thinking about the quality of the land even after the solar farm is gone. Grazing sheep not only helps manage vegetation and provide a food source - but it also provides ecological enhancement.
Sheep & Solar
They are good at grazing underneath the panels, which is more labor-intensive to mow mechanically. In addition, the solar panels provide the sheep shelter from rain, wind, and direct sun on hot days.
